About TBU
Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) — public non-profit university. It is located in Zlin, Czech Republic. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 2001 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. TBU is a part of European University Association (EUA), Magna Chartum Universitatum, Danube Rectors' Conference (DRC), European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI).
It is one of the best institutions in the world. In QS World University Rankings 2024, it is among top-1000. The university is highly rated by the independent university ranking THE. It is in the top-1200.
At TBU, you can get a bachelor, master and doctorate degree in different fields of study.
The academic calendar at TBU is divided into two semesters, as in many other universities in Czech Republic. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. The Czech Republic offers public university students a free education in the Czech language. To be admitted to such programs, you should know the Czech language at least at a B2 level. For English programs at TBU, tuition fees start from 1,825 USD per year. Thanks to financial support programs, students have the opportunity to fully or partially cover the cost of education.
