Don't know where to study?

TAFETechnical and Further Education is a union of technical educational institutions in Australia, providing a wide range of vocational training and qualification courses within the framework of government educational system.

College is very different from high school or university. Unlike universities, which offer courses in a wide range of Theoretical and Applied disciplines, TAFE implies training for a specific profession.

Entry Requirements

For admission, it is enough to have a certificate of completion of 10 years of high school and English proficiency level TOEFL 530 (IELTS 5,5). If a foreign student does not have the required level of English, he can undergo pre-language training offered by the selected college. There are standard, abridged and academic programs in conjunction with classes of learning English. Programs are taught by professional teachers and students can always count on their support.

Employment after graduation from college TAFE

After completing TAFE, graduates receive a certificate — Certificate of I, II, III, IV degrees or a Diploma (basic Diploma or Advanced Diploma). On average, to earn a certificate one must undergo training for 12-52 weeks. The acquired knowledge allows one to be engaged in professional activities in junior positions. To get a Diploma it usually takes 1.5 — 2 years, and for Advanced diploma – 2.5 — 3 years. Advanced diploma allows to occupy managerial positions of middle rank.

TAFE training programs can be stopped after any level completion with acquiring a certificate of a certain degree, which gives the right to seek a job in the area of expertise.

Completion of a short-term program to get a Certificate of I degree normally would not be sufficient to obtain a highly qualified position, but the completion of a series of TAFE programs can provide excellent prospects for future employment or continuation of their studying at a university.

A distinctive feature of education is the practical orientation of training. The content of the course is designed for mastering the latest technology, using the latest generation of equipment, which is updated with the participation of modern companies.

Acquired skills are especially valued by future employers and provide excellent employment opportunities both in Australia and in companies around the world.

TAFE includes more than 90 educational institutions, among which the most famous are the following institutions:
