Bachelor - Southern Federal UniversitySouthern Federal University was established by Order of the Russian Federal Government in November 23, 2006. Southern Federal University, along with Siberian Federal University, was founded in 2006 as the pilot project of new federal universities establishments. Currently, there are only nine federal universities in Russia. Six of them were founded in 2010. Southern Federal University (SFedU) embraces four former higher educational establishments of the Rostov region: Rostov State University tracing back to 1915 the year Imperial Warsaw University was transferred to the city of Rostov; Rostov State Teachers’ Training University formed in 1930 out of the Teachers’ Training Faculty within North Caucasian University; Taganrog State Radio Engineering University founded in 1952; and Rostov State Academy of Architecture and Art formed in 1988 on the basis of the Faculty of Architecture within Rostov Civil Engineering Institute. Southern Federal University has a strong scientific and educational potential. SFedU consists of 31 faculties, 3 educational institutes, 16 regional branches, numerous scientific research institutes and scientific design bureaus, research and development centers, network of shared research facilities, Botanical Garden, Computer Center of South of Russia, and other units.
