Université Espoir d'Afrique (UEA) — private non-profit university. It is located in Bujumbura, Burundi. It is a modern higher education institution, established in 2000. As a part of Association of Free Methodist Educational Institutions (AFMEI), Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA), UEA is actively building the academic environment in Burundi.
UEA works in several scientific areas and is waiting for new students.

The academic calendar at UEA is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. For local citizens, tuition fees at UEA start from 2 USD. International students pay a minimum of 1,000 USD per year. With the help of financial support programs, students can partially or fully cover the cost of education. For up-to-date information on scholarships and the cost of education for each program, check the official website of the educational institution.
When choosing an educational institution, it is necessary to take into account additional costs: accommodation, transportation, educational materials, meals and personal expenses.
The city campus of UEA provides students with countless opportunities for work and recreation — from sitting in a coffee shop with a laptop to internships at large companies. Bujumbura has a well developed entertainment infrastructure, but the rhythm of the big city can be distracting for some students. There is a library on the grounds of the university. There are collected scientific works of graduates and teachers of the university, as well as fiction.

If you want to stay in Burundi after graduation, one of your options is to apply for a work visa. To do this, you need to get an offer from an employer. You can find other options for immigration in our article.
