Police Academy in Bratislava (APZ) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is one of the youngest higher education institutions in the country.
APZ is developing different scientific directions and invites students to join the research.

The academic calendar at APZ is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Local citizens and EU residents can study in Slovakia for free. There is a free studying option for foreigners, but only in the Slovakian language. Tuition fees for English programs at APZ start from 1,000 USD per year. The university has several financial aid programs that help students cover part of the cost of education. Check the university website for up-to-date information on prices and scholarships.
Also, be prepared for additional expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.
For admission to APZ, applicants must pass entrance exams.

The campus of APZ is located in Bratislava. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. During the period of study, students can use the university library, where they can do homework and write scientific papers. Not only locals study at APZ, but also students from other countries. The variety of cultures represented broadens the horizons of students and fills student life with all sorts of activities, the purpose of which is cultural exchange.
There are many options to stay in the country after completing your studies at the university. One of them is to get an offer from an employer and apply for a work visa. Detailed information can be found on the embassy website. We talk about other options for immigration in our article.
