About FURG
Federal University Foundation of Rio Grande (FURG) — public non-profit university. It is located in Rio Grande, Brazil. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1969 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. As an active member of Conselho de Reitores das Universidades Brasileiras (CRUB), Rede Nacional de Extensão (RENEX), FURG is participating in developing the academic environment.
