DELE — Diplomas de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera are official diplomas that indicate Spanish knowledge at a certain level for non-native Spanish speakers. This test was issued by the Spanish Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. The exam contains six levels — from A1 to C2, which corresponds to level division described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Each participant should define his or her level of the Spanish language before taking DELE exam. The diplomas are valid permanently. Every year, more than 60,000 examinations are taken by candidates in more than 800 examination centres from more than 100 countries.
