About UMY
Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) — private non-profit institution. It is located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The higher education institution is considered one of the youngest in the country, as it was founded in 1981. As a part of Association of Indonesian Private University (APTISI), Association of Muhammadiyah Higher Educations, UMY is actively building the academic environment in Indonesia.

The academic calendar at UMY is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. The tuition fee at UMY for foreigners depends on the program. Students pay a minimum of 5,000 USD per year. The university provides tuition assistance to some students through financial aid programs. They are available to both locals and foreigners. When choosing an educational institution, it is important to be aware of additional costs: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.
Bachelor. Before applying, you need to pass the IELTS or TOEFL exam.
Master. It is impossible to enter UMY for a master's program without confirming knowledge of the English language. You can do this by passing IELTS.
Doctorate. If you are applying for a doctoral program, you must pass the language exam — IELTS or TOEFL.
UMY campus
The campus of the educational institution is suburban. The advantages of such a location include the ability to quickly get to the city, access to various types of recreation (in nature and in the city) and a close-knit student community. Students have access to the extensive scientific library of the university. The collection of scientific papers helps them in conducting research.
