Islamic Azad University, Shirvan branch (IAUSH) — private for-profit university. It is located in Shirvan, Iran. The higher education institution is considered one of the youngest in the country, as it was founded in 1990. IAUSH is working together with Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), International Association of Universities (IAU), Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), International Association of University Presidents (IAUP).
IAUSH is developing different scientific directions and invites students to join the research.

At IAUSH, the academic calendar is divided into two semesters. However, tuition fees are calculated per year. For foreign students, the minimal tuition fee at IAUSH is 1,000 USD per year. The university provides tuition assistance to some students through financial aid programs. They are available to both locals and foreigners. The cost of education and the availability of scholarships can be checked on the official website.
It is necessary to pay attention to other costs: accommodation, transportation, study materials, food, and personal expenses.
The campus of the educational institution is located in Shirvan. This opens up all the delights of life in a big city for students: a rich infrastructure, a large selection of entertainment, convenient transport, as well as more opportunities for internships or part-time jobs. However, for some students, such an abundance of opportunities can be distracting. During the period of study, students can use the university library, where they can do homework and write scientific papers. IAUSH regularly accepts students for international exchange programs, providing both local and international students with the opportunity to come into contact with different cultures and gain unique experience.
