South Kazakhstan State University named after MO Auezov (SKSU) — public non-profit university. It is located in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. As a part of Association of HEI's Republic of Kazakhstan, Association of South regions Rectors Soviet, European Association of Universities (EURASHE), Network University Commonwealth of Independent States (NU CIS), Great Charter of universities, European Universities Association Hospitality (EURODIP), University of Shanghai Cooperative Organization (University SCO), SKSU is actively building the academic environment in Kazakhstan.

At SKSU, the academic calendar is divided into two semesters. However, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees here are different for locals and foreigners. For locals, it starts from 5 USD, and for foreigners — a minimum of 3,000 USD.
