About BU

Busoga University (BU) — private non-profit university. It is located in Iganga, Uganda. It is one of the youngest higher education institutions in the country. As an active member of Inter University Council for East Africa, Uganda Vice-Chancellors Forum, Christian Universities Vice Chancellors Forum, BU is participating in developing the academic environment.

BU tuition fees

The academic calendar at BU is divided into two semesters, as in many other universities in Uganda. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. One year of studying at BU will cost local citizens a minimum of 1 USD. For foreigners, the tuition fee is different — from 1,000 USD per year. BU campus

The campus of the educational institution is suburban. The advantages of such a location include the ability to quickly get to the city, access to various types of recreation (in nature and in the city) and a close-knit student community. The university has a functioning library. In addition to educational materials in various scientific areas, it contains a collection of classical and contemporary literature. BU regularly accepts students for international exchange programs, providing both local and international students with the opportunity to come into contact with different cultures and gain unique experience.
