Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) — public non-profit university. It is located in Beersheba, Israel. The higher education institution is among the youngest in the country.
The university is ranked number 469 in QS World University Rankings 2024. Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE), places the university in 501 position in the world.
BGU does research in different fields of study and invites students to bachelor, master and doctorate programs.
As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at BGU is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees here are different for locals and foreigners. For locals, it starts from 660 USD, and for foreigners — a minimum of 3,832 USD. The university provides tuition assistance to some students through financial aid programs. They are available to both locals and foreigners. 11 years of school is not enough to get into BGU.
