University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo (UPRA) — public non-profit university. It is located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1967. As a member of American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), UPRA is actively working on developing the academic environment.
UPRA carries out research in several scientific areas.

One year of studying at UPRA will cost local citizens a minimum of 2,499 USD. For foreigners, the tuition fee is different — from 4,999 USD per year. With the help of financial support programs, students can partially or fully cover the cost of education. The cost of education and the availability of scholarships can be checked on the official website.
It is necessary to pay attention to other costs: accommodation, transportation, study materials, food, and personal expenses.
The suburban campus of UPRA combines features of an urban and rural campus. It is located outside the big city, which allows you to focus on your studies. However, it is also not too far, opening up access to more types of recreation, both outdoors and in the city (theaters, museums, restaurants).
The university has a library where students can do their homework, write scientific papers or just read interesting books. The university provides students with many opportunities to play sports and maintain their own physical fitness. For this, the university has sports grounds and clubs. Not only locals study at UPRA, but also students from other countries. The variety of cultures represented broadens the horizons of students and fills student life with all sorts of activities, the purpose of which is cultural exchange.

If you want to stay in Puerto Rico after graduation, one of your options is to apply for a work visa. To do this, you need to get an offer from an employer. Look for more immigration options in our article.
