University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (HNU) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Neu-Ulm, Germany. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1994 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country.
HNU carries out research in several scientific areas.
The academic calendar at HNU is divided into two semesters, as in many other universities in Germany. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Education at HNU is free for everyone. You cannot enter a German university after the 11th grade, because schooling there lasts longer than 11 years. First, you need to eliminate the academic difference. To do this, foreign students go through a preparatory year in special educational institutions — Studienkollegs.
The suburban campus of HNU combines features of an urban and rural campus. It is located outside the big city, which allows you to focus on your studies. However, it is also not too far, opening up access to more types of recreation, both outdoors and in the city (theaters, museums, restaurants). The university students have access to the library. It is an integral part of learning. Students come here for educational literature or to do their homework. Thanks to international exchange programs at HNU, students can communicate with representatives of different countries and nationalities and thus expand their own horizons. And, the university contributes to this by regularly holding joint events for local and foreign students.
