As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at AHS is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Education at AHS is free for everyone. However, students must pay a semester fee — 1,000 USD per year. With the help of financial support programs, students can partially or fully cover the cost of education. You cannot enter a German university after the 11th grade, because schooling there lasts longer than 11 years. First, you need to eliminate the academic difference. To do this, foreign students go through a preparatory year in special educational institutions — Studienkollegs.
The campus of the educational institution is located in the countryside, so it is especially suitable for nature lovers. Since it is located away from the city, students hold all activities on campus and thus create a close-knit community. The advantages of this location include access to various types of outdoor recreation and fewer distractions from study than in a city. The educational institution has its own library.
