"Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad (UAV) — public non-profit university. It is located in Arad, Romania. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1990 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. As a member of International Association of Universities (IAU), The Association of the Carpathian Region Universities (ACRU), European Multidisciplinary Association in University Lifelong Learning (EUCEN), UAV is actively working on developing the academic environment.
UAV conducts research in many fields of study. For more information, visit the official site.

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at UAV is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. For local citizens, tuition fees at UAV start from 227 USD. International students pay a minimum of 5,000 USD per year. With the help of financial support programs, students can partially or fully cover the cost of education. The cost of education and the availability of scholarships can be checked on the official website.
Also, consider other expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals, and personal expenses.
The city campus of UAV provides students with countless opportunities for work and recreation — from sitting in a coffee shop with a laptop to internships at large companies. Arad has a well developed entertainment infrastructure, but the rhythm of the big city can be distracting for some students. The university has a functioning library. In addition to educational materials in various scientific areas, it contains a collection of classical and contemporary literature. Foreigners who come to UAV through exchange programs study and live with local students. Thus, the university promotes intercultural exchange and the establishment of interethnic relations.
