About UP
University of Primorska (UP) — public non-profit university. It is located in Koper, Slovenia. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 2003 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. As a member of European University Association (EUA), UP is actively working on developing the academic environment.
It is one of the best institutions in the world. In QS World University Rankings 2024, it is among top-1000. The educational institution is in 1501 position of Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE).

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at UP is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. The campus of UP is located in Koper. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. The university has a functioning library. In addition to educational materials in various scientific areas, it contains a collection of classical and contemporary literature.
