University of Lucerne (HSLU) — public non-profit university. It is located in Luzern, Switzerland. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1997. As a part of Rectors' Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS), HSLU is actively building the academic environment in Switzerland.
HSLU is developing different scientific directions and invites students to join the research.

At HSLU, the academic calendar is divided into two semesters. However, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees at HSLU are different for locals and foreigners. Switzerland citizens pay 3,046 USD per year, while international students pay a minimum of 1,949 USD. Thanks to financial support programs, students have the opportunity to fully or partially cover the cost of education. The cost of education and the availability of scholarships can be checked on the official website.
When choosing an educational institution, it is important to be aware of additional costs: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.
You cannot enter a Swiss university immediately after the 11th grade. Before admission, foreign students must study for 2 years at a university in their native country. For admission to HSLU, applicants must pass entrance exams.

The campus of HSLU is urban. This means that students study closely to the sights and the entire recreational infrastructure of the city. This type of campus gives students more options for internships and part-time jobs. There is a library on the grounds of the university. There are collected scientific works of graduates and teachers of the university, as well as fiction. Thanks to international exchange programs at HSLU, students can communicate with representatives of different countries and nationalities and thus expand their own horizons. And, the university contributes to this by regularly holding joint events for local and foreign students.
