Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) - private nonprofit higher education institution in United States. KCAI was founded in 1885. It has an urban campus located in Kansas City.

Application process and the cost of tuition. In order to enroll to the university the applicant must provide the results of the examinations and the certificate of the academic performance. More than a half (60%) of the applicants manage to secure their spot at KCAI, however, the percentage may change depending on the faculty and the popularity of the course. Like in many universities of United States the academic year consists of two semesters. The tuition fees are quite steep. A year of bachelor studies at KCAI will cost you at least 20,000 USD. KCAI is considered to be a pricey option when it comes to obtaining a master’s degree - 20,000 USD per year of study. Given the high tuition costs the students can participate in university scholarship competitions in order to cut down the costs. More information about tuition fees and admission requirements can be found on the official website of the university(http://www.kcai.edu).

The composition of the university. Kansas City Art Institute is on the smaller side, it teaches about 1000 students. Foreign applicants are not excluded from the admission process. The university provides its students with the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programs. To learn more about the students and alumni of the university you can visit the university’s social media pages: Twitter, Youtube, Facebook.

Infrastructure of KCAI. The university has a functioning library. The university also provides dormitories for those who need them. On campus the students can use the sports facilities provided by the university. It is a part of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), and also a member of Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).
