About UNIMAS
University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Kuching, Malaysia. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1992 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. As a part of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), UNIMAS is actively building the academic environment in Malaysia.

It is not possible to enter an undergraduate program at UNIMAS after the 11th grade. In Malaysia, school education lasts longer than 11 years, so applicants need to complete one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, IB, Foundation, etc.), or study for a year at a university in their home country.
The campus of UNIMAS is suburban. Students live in a close-knit community and enjoy the benefits of the natural environment around them.
