The academic calendar at UM is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees at UM for local citizens starts from 436 USD per year. School education in Malaysia lasts longer than 11 grades. Therefore, in order to enter an undergraduate program at UM, applicants must complete 1 year of university in their home country or take one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, Foundation, etc.). When applying for undergraduate programs, the admissions committee takes into account the student's previous grades. Your GPA must be at least 3. Before submitting documents to the university, applicants take an English language exam. The university accepts the results of IELTS, PTE or TOEFL. The minimum IELTS score is 4. The TOEFL score is not lower than 41.

The minimum TOEFL score for admission is 60. IELTS — 5 or higher.
