Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) — private non-profit institution. It is located in Karachi, Pakistan. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1995 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. As a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), SZABIST is actively working on developing the academic environment.
SZABIST conducts various scientific activities and is inviting students to join the research.

The academic calendar at SZABIST is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees at SZABIST are different for locals and foreigners. Pakistan citizens pay 9 USD per year, while international students pay a minimum of 2,500 USD. Check the university website for up-to-date information on tuition fees and available scholarships.
Also, be prepared for additional expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.
The campus of SZABIST is urban. This means that students study closely to the sights and the entire recreational infrastructure of the city. This type of campus gives students more options for internships and part-time jobs.
The university has a library, in the collection of which you will find not only textbooks and scientific works, but also works of the classics, modern literature and much more. SZABIST has many athletic opportunities. Among them are sports grounds and various clubs. Student life at SZABIST is filled with intercultural activities, as not only local students study here, but also students from abroad. The exchange of knowledge and experience, networking and new acquaintances — all this is an integral part of studenthood.

There are several options to stay in the country after graduation. One of them is to get an offer from an employer and apply for a work visa. Read more about this on the embassy website. You can find other options for immigration in our article.
