University of Mauritius (UOM) — public non-profit university. It is located in Moka, Mauritius. It is a young higher education institution, as it was opened in 1965. As a part of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of African Universities (AAU), Association des Universites Francophone (AUF), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), International Association of Universities (IAU), Commonwealth Universities Study Abroad Consortium (CUSAC), Southen African Universities Association (SARUA), UOM is actively building the academic environment in Mauritius.

The academic calendar at UOM is divided into two semesters, as in many other universities in Mauritius. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. One year of studying at UOM will cost local citizens a minimum of 54 USD. For foreigners, the tuition fee is different — from 7,500 USD per year. The university provides tuition assistance to some students through financial aid programs. They are available to both locals and foreigners. UOM campus
The campus of the educational institution is suburban. The advantages of such a location include the ability to quickly get to the city, access to various types of recreation (in nature and in the city) and a close-knit student community. There is a library on the grounds of the university. There are collected scientific works of graduates and teachers of the university, as well as fiction.
