National University of Tumbes (UNT) — public non-profit university. It is located in Tumbes, Peru. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1984 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country.
UNT conducts various scientific activities and is inviting students to join the research.
As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at UNT is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. For Peru citizens, the minimal tuition fee at UNT is 268 USD per year. On the official website of the university, you will find all the relevant information about tuition fees and scholarships.
Also, consider other expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals, and personal expenses.
The city campus of UNT provides students with countless opportunities for work and recreation — from sitting in a coffee shop with a laptop to internships at large companies. Tumbes has a well developed entertainment infrastructure, but the rhythm of the big city can be distracting for some students. During the period of study, students can use the university library, where they can do homework and write scientific papers. UNT regularly accepts students for international exchange programs, providing both local and international students with the opportunity to come into contact with different cultures and gain unique experience.
There are several options to stay in the country after graduation. One of them is to get an offer from an employer and apply for a work visa. Read more about this on the embassy website. You can find other options for immigration in our article.
