University of Ostrava (OSU) — public non-profit university. It is located in Ostrava, Czech Republic. It is a young higher education institution, as it was opened in 1991. As a part of European University Association (EUA), OSU is actively building the academic environment in Czech Republic.
The institution is among the top-1200 in the world, according to QS International University Ranking.
OSU does research in different fields of study and invites students to bachelor, master and doctorate programs.

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at OSU is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. You can study for free at OSU, but only if you know the Czech language at least at a B2 level. English program fees start from 732 USD per year. Also, be prepared for additional expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.

Before submitting documents to the university, applicants take an English language exam. The university accepts the results of IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum IELTS score is 5.5. The TOEFL score is not lower than 42.
To confirm your level of English, you must pass IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score for admission is 90. IELTS — 6.5 or higher.
The university campus is located within Ostrava. The educational institution has its own library. Here, students do their homework or just have a good time reading an interesting book.
