Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Prague, Czech Republic. AVU was founded back in 1799, which is why it is among the oldest higher education institutions in the country.
AVU conducts various scientific activities and is inviting students to join the research.

At AVU, you can study for free in programs taught in Czech (from level B2). All programs in English are paid. For up-to-date information on scholarships and the cost of education for each program, check the official website of the educational institution.
When choosing an educational institution, it is necessary to take into account additional costs: accommodation, transportation, educational materials, meals and personal expenses.
Enrollment in a bachelor's program at AVU is based on the results of entrance exams.

The campus of AVU is located in Prague. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. The educational institution has its own library. Here, students do their homework or just have a good time reading an interesting book. AVU regularly invites foreign students to participate in exchange programs. For locals, this is a unique opportunity to get in touch with the cultures of other countries, meet representatives of different nationalities and make friends around the world.
There are several options to stay in the country after graduation. One of them is to get an offer from an employer and apply for a work visa. Read more about this on the embassy website. Look for more immigration options in our article.
