University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (UASUA) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Wels, Austria. It is one of the youngest higher education institutions in the country. As a part of Österreichische Fachhochschul-Konferenz, European University Association (EUA), UASUA is actively building the academic environment in Austria.
UASUA conducts various scientific activities and is inviting students to join the research.

At UASUA, the academic calendar is divided into two semesters. However, tuition fees are calculated per year. Locals and EU residents can study in Austria for free. For foreigners, tuition fees start from 1,641 USD per year. On the official website of the university, you will find all the relevant information about tuition fees and scholarships.
Also, be prepared for additional expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.
In order to enter a bachelor's program, applicants must successfully pass the entrance exams.

The campus of UASUA is located in Wels. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. Students have access to the extensive scientific library of the university. The collection of scientific papers helps them in conducting research. Not only locals study at UASUA, but also students from other countries. This is a unique opportunity to get in touch with the culture of other countries, meet representatives of different nationalities and make friends around the world.
To stay in Austria after graduation, you need to apply for a job seeker visa. It allows you to live and work in the country for another 2 years. We talk about other options for immigration in our article.
