World Maritime University (WMU) - private nonprofit higher education institution in Sweden. In 1983 WMU opened its door to students. The main building of the university is located in Malmoe inside an urban campus. World Maritime University is, without a doubt, one of the most prestigious universities of Sweden sitting comfortably among the top 30 universities of the country.

It is very likely to get admitted to WMU as there are only 3 applicants per seat. Academic year of the university consists of two semesters. Not everyone can study full time, so World Maritime University offers such students a wide range of online programs.

Foreign citizens can submit their applications along with the local students. The education is conducted by 50 teachers and professors. During studies the students have the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programs.
