University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) — public non-profit university. It is located in Tromso, Norway. It is one of the youngest higher education institutions in the country. The academic calendar at UiT is divided into two semesters. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Norwegian education is free at all public universities. That's why you don't have to worry about paying tuition fees during your study at UiT. Students only pay a semester fee, which is about 100 USD per year. School education in Norway lasts longer than 11 grades. Therefore, in order to enter an undergraduate program at UiT, applicants must complete 1 year of university in their home country or take one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, IB, Foundation, etc.).
The campus of the educational institution is suburban. The advantages of such a location include the ability to quickly get to the city, access to various types of recreation (in nature and in the city) and a close-knit student community. University students have access to the library. It contains a collection of scientific papers, textbooks and fiction. Not only locals study at UiT, but also students from other countries.
