Technical University of Valencia (UPV) — public non-profit university. It is located in Valencia, Spain. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1968 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. UPV is a part of European University Association (EUA), Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (CESAER), OpenCourseWare Consortium (OCW).
The university is ranked number 436 in QS World University Rankings 2025. The educational institution is in 601 position of Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE).
UPV does research in different fields of study and invites students to bachelor and master programs.

At UPV, the academic calendar is divided into two semesters. However, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees at UPV are different for locals and foreigners. Spain citizens pay 2,825 USD per year, while international students pay a minimum of 962 USD. The university provides tuition help to some students through scholarships. They are available to both local and international students. For up-to-date information on scholarships and the cost of education for each program, check the official website of the educational institution.
Accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses are all things to consider before applying to university.

You can apply for an undergraduate program at UPV if you have a good academic record and successfully passed the entrance exams.
The admission committee of the university takes into account the previous academic performance of the student. It is impossible to enter UPV for a master's program without confirming knowledge of the English language. You can do this by passing IELTS or TOEFL.
The campus of UPV is located in Valencia. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. The educational institution has its own library. Here, students do their homework or just have a good time reading an interesting book. Foreigners who come to UPV through exchange programs study and live with local students. Thus, the university promotes intercultural exchange and the establishment of interethnic relations.

After graduation, you can stay in Spain for 1 year. This time is enough to find a job and change your student visa to a work one. UPV graduates find jobs quickly, partly because the university has a good reputation among employers according to the QS World University Rankings. Look for more immigration options in our article.
