About UiA
University of Agder (UiA) — public non-profit university. It is located in Kristiansand, Norway. It is a young higher education institution, as it was opened in 2007. As an active member of European University Association (EUA), UiA is participating in developing the academic environment.
UiA offers bachelor and master programs in different fields of study.
The academic calendar at UiA is divided into two semesters, as in many other universities in Norway. For convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Norwegian education is free at all public universities. That's why you don't have to worry about paying tuition fees during your study at UiA. Students only pay a semester fee, which is about 172 USD per year. The cost of education and the availability of scholarships can be checked on the official website.
Accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses are all things to consider before applying to university.
You cannot enter university in Norway after the 11th grade, as school education here lasts longer. Applicants need to eliminate the academic difference. There are two ways to do this: either study for a year at a university in your home country, or complete one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, IB, Foundation, etc.). Before applying to the university, you need to pass an exam for knowledge of the English language. The university accepts the results of IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum IELTS score is 5. The TOEFL score is not lower than 60.

Master's degree at UiA
In order to enroll at UiA for a master's program, you will have to confirm knowledge of the English language. You can do this by passing the exam — IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score for admission is 80. IELTS — 6 or higher.

UiA campus
The campus of UiA is located in Kristiansand. The urban campus is suitable for those students who, firstly, are used to independence, and secondly, cannot imagine their life without the hustle and bustle of a big metropolis. The university has a library, in the collection of which you will find not only textbooks and scientific works, but also works of the classics, modern literature and much more. UiA regularly invites foreign students to participate in exchange programs. For locals, this is a unique opportunity to get in touch with the cultures of other countries, meet representatives of different nationalities and make friends around the world.
