University of Beira Interior (UBI) — public non-profit university. It is located in Covilha, Portugal. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1979. As a member of European University Association (EUA), Conselho de Reitores das Universidades Portuguesas, UBI is actively working on developing the academic environment.
This is one of the best universities in the world. Judged by 13 aspects of Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE), it conquered 601 place among top institutions.
UBI does research in different fields of study. You can find them on the official site.

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at UBI is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees at UBI for local citizens starts from 2,825 USD per year. For international students, the cost of study differs — from 5,650 USD. The university has several financial aid programs that help students cover part of the cost of education. Check the university website for up-to-date information on prices and available scholarships.
Also, consider other expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals, and personal expenses.
UBI has an urban campus, which provides students with many options for study and recreation. The abundance of museums, theaters and cinemas creates opportunities for the cultural development of young people. In the city, there are also large companies that offer internships. The educational institution has its own library. Here, students do their homework or just have a good time reading an interesting book. Thanks to international exchange programs at UBI, students can communicate with representatives of different countries and nationalities and thus expand their own horizons. And, the university contributes to this by regularly holding joint events for local and foreign students.

After graduation from the university, students can stay in the country for 1 year. To do this, you need to extend your student visa or apply for a job seeker visa. You can find other options for immigration in our article.
