Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) — public non-profit institution. It is located in Braganca, Portugal. It is a modern higher education institution, established in 1983. IPB is working together with Coordinating Council of Polytechnic Institutes (CCISP), European Network for Universities of Applied Sciences (UASNET).
The educational institution is in the top-1200 of Times Higher Education World University Ranking.
IPB does research in different fields of study and invites students to bachelor and master programs.

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at IPB is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. Tuition fees here are different for locals and foreigners. For locals, it starts from 915 USD, and for foreigners — a minimum of 1,231 USD. The university provides tuition assistance to some students through financial aid programs. They are available to both locals and foreigners. The exact cost of programs and information on the availability of scholarships can be found on the website of the university.
Also, be prepared for additional expenses: accommodation, transportation, study materials, meals and personal expenses.

The campus of IPB is located in Braganca. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. The school has a library where students can do their homework or just relax. Thanks to international exchange programs at IPB, students can communicate with representatives of different countries and nationalities and thus expand their own horizons. And, the university contributes to this by regularly holding joint events for local and foreign students.
Students can stay in Portugal for a year after graduation to find a job and change their student visa to a work visa. We talk about other options for immigration in our article.
