The University College in Southeast Norway (HSN) — public non-profit college. It is located in Porsgrunn, Norway. It is one of the youngest higher education institutions in the country.

As in many other universities in the country, the academic calendar at HSN is divided into two semesters. But for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. At HSN, education is free for everyone, both in Norwegian and English. But for admission to such programs, you should know the language at least at a B2 level. In Norway, school education lasts longer than 11 years, so it is not possible to enroll in a bachelor's program immediately after school. First, you need to eliminate the academic difference with the help of one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, IB, Foundation, etc.). The second option is to study for a year at a university in your native country.
The suburban campus of HSN combines features of an urban and rural campus. It is located outside the big city, which allows you to focus on your studies. However, it is also not too far, opening up access to more types of recreation, both outdoors and in the city (theaters, museums, restaurants).
There is a library on the grounds of the university. There are collected scientific works of graduates and teachers of the university, as well as fiction.
