University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) — private non-profit university. It is located in Fremantle, Australia. The higher education institution was founded not so long ago — in 1989 — which is why it is considered one of the youngest in the country. UNDA is a member of International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU).
It is one of the best institutions in the world. In QS World University Rankings 2025, it is among top-1400.
UNDA does research in different fields of study and offers bachelor, master and doctorate programs.

The academic year at UNDA is continuous. It means that students have no break between courses. However, for convenience, tuition fees are calculated per year. For local citizens, tuition fees at UNDA start from 2,528 USD. International students pay a minimum of 10,545 USD per year. The educational institution helps students financially with the help of scholarships and financial aid. They are available to local and international students. The exact cost of programs and information on the availability of scholarships can be found on the website of the university.
It is necessary to pay attention to other costs: accommodation, transportation, study materials, food, and personal expenses.

In Australia, school education lasts longer than 11 years, so it is not possible to enroll in a bachelor's program immediately after school. First, you need to eliminate the academic difference with the help of one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, Foundation, etc.). The second option is to study for a year at a university in your native country. Before applying to the university, you need to pass an exam for knowledge of the English language. The university accepts the results of IELTS, PTE or TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score is 73. The IELTS score is not lower than 6. Applicants will need a subject exam — A-Level or SAT.
The admission committee of the university takes into account the previous academic performance of the student. In order to enroll at UNDA for a master's program, you will have to confirm knowledge of the English language. You can do this by passing the exam — IELTS, PTE or TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score for admission is 84. IELTS — 6.5 or higher. UNDA provides an opportunity to get a master's degree remotely.
If you decide to pursue a career in science and enroll in a doctoral program, you must pass the language exam — IELTS, PTE, TOEFL or CAE. For enrollment, you need to pass TOEFL with 94 points. The minimum score for IELTS is 7.
The campus of UNDA is located in Fremantle. This is a fairly large city that opens up many opportunities for students: from cafes, restaurants and other entertainment to internships at large companies. But an urban campus can also be a disadvantage, because big city life distracts some students from their studies. University students have access to the library. It contains a collection of scientific papers, textbooks and fiction. UNDA regularly accepts students for international exchange programs, providing both local and international students with the opportunity to come into contact with different cultures and gain unique experience.

After graduation, you can stay in Australia for another 1.5 to 4 years, depending on the degree received. To do this, you need to apply for a graduate visa — it allows you to work in the country without changing your visa to a work one. Look for more immigration options in our article.
