Macquarie University (MQ) — public non-profit university. It is located in Sydney, Australia. It is a young higher education institution, as it was opened in 1964. As an active member of Universities Australia, Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), Open Universities Australia, MQ is participating in developing the academic environment.

Bachelor degree at MQ
School education in Australia lasts longer than 11 grades. Therefore, in order to enter an undergraduate program at MQ, applicants must complete 1 year of university in their home country or take one of the preparatory programs (A-Levels, IB, Foundation, etc.). Before submitting documents to the university, applicants take an English language exam. The university accepts the results of IELTS, PTE or TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score is 73. The IELTS score is not lower than 6. A subject exam is required. The university relies on the A-Level, ACT or SAT results. Additionally, upon admission, an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma can be accepted.
Master's degree at MQ
The admission committee of the university takes into account the previous academic performance of the student. To confirm your level of English, you must pass IELTS, PTE or TOEFL. The minimum IELTS score for admission is 6.5. TOEFL — 83 or higher. There is an opportunity for admission to online master's programs at MQ.
MQ campus
The suburban campus of MQ combines features of an urban and rural campus. It is located outside the big city, which allows you to focus on your studies. However, it is also not too far, opening up access to more types of recreation, both outdoors and in the city (theaters, museums, restaurants). There is a library on the grounds of the university. There are collected scientific works of graduates and teachers of the university, as well as fiction. The exchange of intercultural experience occupies a special place in training at MQ. The educational institution regularly invites foreign students to participate in exchange programs and organizes various joint events.

What to do after graduation
In Australia, you can stay for a period of 1.5 to 4 years after graduation. To do this, you must obtain a graduate visa — it allows you to work in the country without changing your visa to a work one.
