Frequently asked questions

How does an individual case study differ from a free consultation?

A free consultation lasts around 15 minutes, providing a general assessment of your admission prospects and guidance on suitable countries and universities based on your profile.

A case study lasts for 1 hour and offers more in-depth information from a specialist in a specific country or field. We delve into the nuances of each country, analyze successful cases from previous years, discuss application stages, and provide preparation advice. After the session, we also share helpful resource links.

During a free consultation, our specialists may not have sufficient time to cover all the details of education in your chosen country. The purpose of the free consultation is to provide an introduction to the idea of education abroad. However, through a comprehensive analysis of your case, we can delve deeper and provide more detailed information tailored specifically to your unique circumstances.

Can you select universities for me and provide information about their requirements?

Absolutely! We offer a service called "Selection of suitable academic programs" for this specific purpose.

During the case study, we can guide you towards suitable universities based on our previous experience. However, specific program recommendations can only be made after conducting a comprehensive search.

Typically, the program selection process takes up to 3 weeks as our specialist carefully matches programs to your criteria and contacts admission committees to clarify details.

Can you explain the application process for a university I have chosen myself?

During the case study, we will be happy to provide insights into the process of applying to your chosen field of study. We share the previous applicants' experiences, offer general recommendations for admission, and discuss the specifics of the chosen direction.

However, for precise instructions tailored to your case, we recommend our "Selection of suitable academic programs" service, where we can work on refining the options you have already found.

I am applying to universities on my own. Can you review my completed application during the case study to ensure its accuracy?

Filling out an application is a meticulous process that requires great responsibility. Unfortunately, during the 1-hour case study, we won't have sufficient time for this task.

However, you can consider our "Complete guidance" service, where we guide you through the entire admission process — from document preparation to submitting the application and receiving an invitation letter. In full support, we assist with document preparation and application completion from scratch.

If you have already prepared your application, you may be interested in our "Application form review" or "Application form completion" services.

Can you provide feedback on an already written motivation letter or letter of recommendation?

For creative writing and document editing, we have a dedicated expert named Ksenia Van Ness.

If you require assistance with editing and crafting a competitive motivation letter, you can use our "Revision of separate documents" service.

Through this service, we can discuss what selection committees typically look for and provide insights into how to stand out with your letters.

Will I be charged extra if the case study exceeds the scheduled time?

Our specialist will provide a 15-minute and 2-minute warning before concluding the conversation.

If 1 hour is insufficient for your needs, you can arrange for additional meetings with the mentor. This allows time for thoroughly addressing your questions within the extra hour.

Can I get a refund if all my questions are answered within 20 minutes?

To avoid this situation, we recommend carefully considering and noting down all the questions you wish to discuss with the specialist.

If you run out of questions before the scheduled time, and the specialist's proposed topics are not of interest to you, unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for the service.

Can I split the 1-hour case study into two 30-minute meetings?

The case study is designed as a single 1-hour session and cannot be divided.

We suggest preparing for the session by organizing the topics and questions that interest you in a single place, such as a notebook or a computer document, to ensure productive discussions.

Can parents or other family members join the case study?

We encourage the participation of future students and their parents in the meeting. Often, their goals and perspectives regarding studying abroad may differ. By listening to both sides, we can find the best option that suits everyone.

Is it possible to receive an admission plan for two individuals (eg., an older and younger brother)?

Yes, it is possible. However, please note that the case study duration is limited to 1 hour, and discussing two cases simultaneously may not provide sufficient time for each individual. Each case is analyzed separately, since individuals may have distinct preferences and goals.

Additionally, our consultation is conducted by mentors specializing in specific areas and countries. Consequently, receiving detailed information about studying in both China and France simultaneously may not be possible.

What if I change my fields of interest during the meeting?

If, for example, during a consultation on admission to France, you want to learn more about Singapore or the United Arab Emirates, the mentor will address your questions. However, please note that the mentor's specialization is primarily focused on the initially designated country, resulting in less experience in the "new" field.

Where will the case study take place?

Our mentors consult students in person at our Moscow office, or through various communication platforms such as phone, WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, and Google Meets.

You can choose the most convenient format and coordinate with the specialist accordingly.

Can I schedule a specific time for the meeting?

Yes, we operate on weekdays from 10:00 to 19:00 (MSK). Within this timeframe, you can select a suitable time for the call and coordinate it with your specialist.

Will my payment be forfeited if I need to reschedule the meeting?

You can reschedule a meeting once for free. To do so, please inform your mentor via email at least 8 hours before the scheduled call time.

If you notify the mentor later and the specialist does not have any available time slots, a refund will not be issued.

What is NOT done during a case study?

During the case study, we are unable to:

  • Select a specific program, university, or scholarship for you
  • Provide direct links to university websites or application portals
  • Assist in exam preparation
  • Provide specific requirements for individual programs (e.g., the required IELTS score for a master's program in philosophy at NYU)
  • Write a letter to the admission committee to clarify their requirements
  • Edit university or scholarship applications, supporting documents, CVs, etc.
  • Verify the accuracy of documents, including apostilles, translations, etc.
  • Assist with booking tickets, hotels, or student housing
  • Facilitate payment of tuition fees, registration fees, or other expenses
  • Provide advice on visa-related matters
